
Fernanda is a non-traditional student (a first-generation student, a young parent, a Salvadoran immigrant overcoming language barriers, a woman in engineering, and part of an underrepresented community) with a mission to make STEM education accessible to other non-traditional students and show them how to work smarter, not harder.
Fernanda is a chemical engineer, computational scientist, PhD candidate at Yale University, 3 x STEM conference founder, speaker, content creator, and mom of 2.

Fernanda is a computational scientist who uses statistical thermodynamics, molecular simulations, and advanced path sampling techniques to unravel the intricate mechanisms behind crystal nucleation processes.

Fernanda has a community of 350K+ people across social media platforms where she shares her experience as a first-generation student/latina immigrant/mom experience, productivity/studying tips, and student resources.
